Do fúck off.

:hehe: You got to admit he would slot seamlessly in to that defence.

Two Sideshow Bobs in one team?

Good grief.

Of course it makes some sense in taking a bit of catastrophe pressure off Mustafi. They can share the burden now.

Luiz & Mustafi vs Welbeck & Troy will be a battle for the ages imo

Much better player in his second spell with them compared to the first. Probably better than all our defenders apart from the hairy Greek.

Luiz hugely improves our passing from the back. Which was pitiful at times last season. A lot of our defensive issues were caused by this. Getting pressed into errors constantly. The rest of his game can be a bit erratic, but probably no worse than Mustafi and co. In all honesty, we were never going to land a massive CB signing in this window with our current budget. We’ve done quite well overall. Getting Pepe was a huge bonus.

Perhaps not what we’re looking for but a vast improvement on the hapless Mustafi. I suppose, given the spending constraints and longer term picture of Holding & Saliba, it makes sense.

Agreed - he's a cheap (apparently) stop gap until the young French lad is ready, hopefully next season.

With Tierney and Luiz we have had an excellent window imo, much better than ManU or Chelsea, our opposition for the 4th CL spot.

wd Arsenal.

Fair play to Raul and Indian Finance guy for making £45m work

Also...

Destabilised Zaha
Laid the groundwork for an Upamecano deal later on if required...
Started work on moving Ozil to the MLS in January
Played mind games with Iwobi ie we could’ve sold you but believe in you so come on!

What role did Mickey Pearce play in all of this T? Running interference for the Pepe deal by making bids for Everton and Zaha? Or, just fetching tea and biscuits for Raul and Vinai?

Currently sorting out Jenkinson’s season ticket renewal

You have only to look at the last match vs Barca to see what a problem this was. Kept shooting ourselves in the foot by giving it away, and of course Matland-Niles did an own goal. Think Luiz adds considerably, if you want to know. And Upamacano is only 20, thus another understudy.

Hard for Chelsea to have a better window as they couldn't sign anyone

Like Gallas and Cech, another Chelsea hand-me-down past his best.

We give them Giroud, who is still pretty much at the top of his game.
