Celeriac would be better. Don't be drawn into the sweet potato trap. Only disappointment lives therein.

It is crispy, cribbly things you miss, though. Difficult to do cribbly without starch.

I don't mind roasted sweet potato. Occasionally.

The poor chap's half-starved, a. Show some compassion. He's been used to making a beast of himself on the finest sweetmeats and delicacies known to man and now here he is subsisting on scraps.

I don't mind roasted sweet potato. Occasionally.

Celeriac would be infinitely better. I can't see a carrot rosti ending well. Too much sugar - it'll catch and caramelise if you're not careful.
