Palace value him at £80-£100m. Why are we making insulting offers again?

Probably because that's closer to his real value. Absolutely guarantee you that no one will pay £80-£100m for Zaha.
Palace have him under a long term contract anyway and want to keep him to lure in any potential club takeover investor. Put simply, they neither want or need to sell.

Perhaps Stan would like to sell Arsenal and take over there?

If Zaha kicks up a fuss about not being sold then perhaps we have a chance.

An embarrassing bid.

Palace should just tell us - that bid was such a joke that even if you come back with £100m cash we still won’t sell to you.

I think this confirms 2 things

We really have only 40m to spend hence the reason why we’re trying to offset £40m across 5 seasons and only realise £8m this season.

We can only raise money by people leaving but no one wants to leave.

Pretty much tells me all I need to know about the likes of Xhaka, Ozil, Mustafi etc etc not only are they utterly c rap on the pitch they are prepared to destroy any hope of us improving.

They should man up, accept responsibility for their failures (on the pitch, to the fans, Wenger and Unai) and move on. But nope they’ll keep serving up dogsh•t and bleed us dry.

If I was Unai I would leave...the lad is being mugged about.

I know we’re starting at a higher level ie Premier League winners and consistently in the Top4 but there are plenty of similarities with us and clubs that have been relegated.

It wouldn''t seem quite so embarrassing if Palace hadn''t just received £50 million from United for a promising young full-back with one full season under his belt.

If that is the benchmark, then their best forward - in the prime of his career - should fetch upwards of £80 million, at a conservative estimate.

Because he wants to leave to join us, want to unsettle him and he isn't worth that amount...so there are the 3 answers

Apparently we’ve made 7 bids for Tiereny...each one £1m more than the last

It’s not an eBay auction ffs

At this rate I’d be happy with Cahill and a bag of discos imo

What did United pay for him last time? He's worth £40-50m, certainly not £80m

Every few million we save, means the opportunity to get another player we wouldn't otherwise be able to afford. Not sure why it's quite so difficult to understand

Just throw Jenkinson and Iwobi into the offer. That should push it over the line, shirley?

United just bid £70m for Harry Maguire. This & the Wan Bissaka deal with inflate the market as Palace and LCFC will be awash with Pounds. This, in turn, screws Arsenal over.

It's going to be yet another summer of shopping in the Bargain Bins. I see we have now given up on Zaha and are focusing our attentions on Jarrod Bowen.

I mean, he's 23 this year... Hardly a promising youngster, is he? Also, it's not exactly the most inspiring signing of the season, is it? I'd rather just keep Iwobi out on the wing, tbh.

By great promise, he should be playing at a higher level.

If you'd rather keep Iwobi, despite the evidence he keeps producing each week, you are a cretin.

Lets pick the crap you post apart one by one..... Palace/Leicester being awash with cash screws Arsenal over... how is this different to every other year when teams sell players? Palace having cash doesn't stop us buying players at the same price they would have been available for before...the only possible one it could affect would be Zaha who they obviously don't want to sell anyway.

You see we have switched our attention away from Zaha, well seeing as we supposedly only bid for him yesterday and we haven't bid for the bloke from Hull it would be a bloody qucik about turn. It is newspaper gossip, chuck as many names out there as possible and you might get one right.

Buying, bloke form China, Free Tfr from porto, Zaha, Bowen...all mentioned in papers in the last week. Which is true or just made up? Who knows, but you take everything as being fact which shows what a cock you are

Hope that covers it for you Dick

Well it Palace and Leicester decide to spend the mega-bucks received from United then it inflates the market. Whoever they purchase someone from will demand a higher fee and that impact cascades down throughout the would market. It's basic economics, you see?

And Zaha was always going to be pie in the sky. The only chance we have is if we include players. This will help Palace get around the fact that they need to give 25% of any transfer fee back to United.

So the same as every other season since time began then. And they aren't likely to be looking for the same players we are
