set up a Citizens’ Assembly to break the Brexit deadlock if he were elected PM. This would involve assembling a representative group of members of the public who would get to listen to experts and then put their recommendations forward to the Government about how to proceed.

Except that when pushed on this, he very quickly let slip that if he was PM he wouldn’t accept those recommendations if they involved Remaining or No Deal

Also, how would these members be chosen? Perhaps we could vote for them, and they could sit in a chamber and debate matters and.. oh.

Rory Stewart is a Council Member or the the European Council on Foreign Relations (along with Jo Johnson, Chuka Umunna and Damien Green). George Soros's Open Society Foundations have given more than a quarter of a million euros in the last year to the European Council on Foreign Relations.

This guy's just another open borders apparatchik.

I'd bet Rod's more of a tory than Rory.
