Oh yes, that's definitely in there, but short, see? The others all went on for a decent period.

Like Morse. Or Lewis. But they go without saying.

Babylon Berlin

I could never get on with The West Wing. I just thought they were all ****s.

And I had to stop watching The Sopranos because I couldn't listen to the man's breathing anymore. It surprised me not one jot when he threw a seven.

The West Wing was, of course, often referred to as The Left Wing, but the dialogue was fun.

Babylon Berlin, you say? I shall investigate.

It's German, but there's loads of knockers and that.

Ozark and Stranger Things are very good. Then we have the Game of Thrones prequel and Lord of the Rings shows in development. They’ve just finished filming The Witcher TV adaption as well. Then there’s Disney’s new streaming service with all the Marvel shows. What a time to be alive :cloud9:

I found the dialogue irritating. A bunch of smart-arses speaking clever-sounding sentences at a hundred miles an hour that it probably took the writers ages to construct and polish.

Cùnts.

Yes. Although I can't say I liked Bring Up The Bodies as much as Wolf Hall.

Did you ever read 'A Place Of Greater Safety'? In many ways, I think it's her best.

I didn't, no. As a rule I don't read things by birds. I've just made an exception for the Cromwell ones.

Perhaps I'll give it a listen. I'm just reaching the end of Tess of the d'urbervilles, which I thought would make for good, brooding moorland vibes whilst oop norf. It was actually just deeply dull and depressing.

Yes. I've always felt that Thomas Hardy should really just fúck off.

I liked the Mayor of Casterbridge and that was it.

The only good thing Thomas Hardy ever did was to pile the gravestones round a tree in St Pancras cemetery when they built the railway through it. They're still there.

 And cameras gliding through scenes like a fecking drone and people wafting into and out of view while delivering said smart arse lines and never bumping into each other - utter tosh (I am a little disappointed with Sir C a. I thought him a man of discernment and taste. I fear when they amputated his hooter they took some of his brain with it).

He called them ‘The revenge fantasies of the impotent’.

Interestingly (perhaps) the writer on Watchmen, the movie, David Hayter, is our production partner. Also wrote X Men 1 and 2

Except for Asterisk. He's ace.

And unlike caped Septics, he's born of real history (occupation) and is an inspiration to humanity.

But more to the point, he's funny.

No. Asterix wasn't funny. Obelix was funny.

Besides, the English translations of those books were much funnier than the French originals.

Yes, different matter altogether. The French consider them serious socio-political satire, rather than schoolboy comedy.

Yes, they're always getting that sort of thing wrong. It's like Planet Of The Apes. The French originals were supposed to be a satire about American racial issues. Fortunately, Hollywood recognised that they were actually much more entertaining when they were about humans living in a world run by apes.

I'm not sure that's the case. I think it covers the entire duration of the Watchmen mythology from the Minutemen prequels, the individual character series to the actual graphic novel itself. Could be wrong.

If done correctly it could be incredible TV.

Yes, that was an unsavoury seen, it has to be said. And I do hope that was a prosthetic. Mrs IUFG got a little hot under the collar and I felt a little (ahem) under equiped.

Still, Bilquis shoving blokes up her fanny was, erm, interesting!

There's some BTS footage that has Hooded Justice featured. He's from the prequels. Also there's a clip in that trailer of a fairground. Very prominent in Minutemen. Maybe it is set directly after the events of Watchmen with flashbacks. Anyway, I'm looking forward to it.
