I don't really care, now I come to think of it. :-(

All the joy's been sucked out of it.

 I'd swap the lot for Tottenham going out of the CL and Liverpool not winning the league. Everything else is a big pile of 'Meh'.

Jesus wept c what has happened here? You and I both stood on the old North Bank like young lions, repelling any who tried to occupy our territory*. And tonight we have a semi-final in what could be our first European trophy since 95' and you don't care!

I fell out of love with the game once before, h. Around '93, when Graham sent teams out with the specific intention of intimidating the opposition with thuggery.

It took George's departure and the arrival of Bergkamp to remind me of the beauty of the game.

Emery has ruined my life, h. :-(

I did try to warn everyone.

One look at him lurking on the touchline like an uncle you'd never ask to babysit and I knew he'd destroy all that was good about the club.

But everyone was all 'Oh, give him a chance!' and 'It's like a breath of fresh air'.

Well now look where we are. Happy now?

Cech starts in goal. His best position.
Maitland Niles is at right wing-back
A back three of Mustafi, Sokratis & Koscielney gives a good base.
Kolasinac starts at left wing-back.
A midfield duo of Torreria and Xhaka cover the back three nicely.
iwobi starts on the right, Özil on the left.
A top two of Lacazette and Aubameyang complete an attacking looking lineup

Oh I still think it's too early to judge. Next season he might instigate his masterplan and win me round.

On the other hand, he might not.

Oh yes, what glory did the now canonised Arsene bring us in the two European finals we reached under him?

Oh, and the last couple of European semi-finals we reached under him

But we played lovely football. . .

Would you rather be remembered for being a member of the losing Dutch world cup side in 74 and 78 or a part of the winning Greek side in the Euros in whenever it was? Success and achievment isn't a simple matter of black and white.

But on balance, things were still much, much better.

Exasperation, yes. Frustration, yes. Bewilderment, yes.

Hate? Never.

I can only feel the negative emotions for AW that one inevitably feels for those one truly loves.

And I don't hate Emery. I simply wish I could ignore him and never be exposed to his foulness ever again.

He gave you a central midfield of Vieira and Petit.

He gave you a league title win at Whiet Hart Lane.

He gave you a league title win at Old Trafford.

He gave you an FA cup final victory over Manchester United which was 90 minutes of pure shíthousery.

He gave you a front three of Henry, Bergkamp and Pires.

And you bear a grudge about Almunia? :yikes:
