"Aaron Ramsey’s Arsenal career is over after it emerged he will miss the rest of the season with a hamstring injury. Ramsey suffered the problem in the Europa League quarter-final second leg win at Napoli and was substituted on 34 minutes.

It was hoped he might recover in time to feature before the end of the Premier League campaign or a potential Europa League final. But the 28-year-old needs longer to recover and has therefore played his last game for the club.

Ramsey will leave Arsenal when his contract expires on 30 June and join Italian champions Juventus as a free agent. He joined in 2008 from Cardiff City and is currently the Gunners’ longest-serving player.

He has scored six goals in 40 appearances this season and 64 in 369 since moving to the Emirates Stadium for £4.8m. Ramsey netted the winning goals in the 2014 and 2017 FA Cup finals, also lifting the trophy in 2015."
