Unless we're still in the competition, FA Cup weekends are absolute wánk and serve only to ruin the fixtures list.

I rather enjoyed the Wolves game, b. Very nice to see that since it has been pretty much confirmed that Solksjaer has the job United have been ****

Everton beating Chelsea was amusing, not to mention, very helpful

The F1 was immensely tedious

Yes. And nice that we started the rot. However, any enjoyment of that and the Chelsea game were ruined by Liverpool winning.

True - Liverpool game was good as well for a while. And City was a cracker if very annoying in the end.

Let's not mention the rugby, eh

Ah but it was gloriously sunny here - the streets were packed with shiny, happy people celebrating at the St Patrick's day Parade. Which meant it kept the silly ****ers out of the pub so I could enjoy the football in relative peace

The rugby was........entertaining? Very bizarre match.

Footy referees clearly been given a directive to make shocking decisions in order to make everyone want VAR

Quite. Jubilant Jocks and Taffs is a terrible sight for a weekend. :-(

England's result was so bizarre it would almost have one muttering darkly about Far Eastern betting syndicates.

And quite what's happened to Ireland since beating the All Blacks is a mystery.

If England could play a full 80 they’d win the World Cup. Ireland look like they’re going through what England went through after that long winning run. Sadly for them it’s in a World Cup year.

Sorry, but why does Munich have a St Patrick's Day parade? :rubchin:

I reckon Ireland made more mistakes on Saturday than they did in the whole of the last Six Nations - absolutely shocking. Can't work out what has happened to England - went from being brilliant finishers to superb starters who can't finish teams off. Makes no sense - Jones out

Do you really need an answer to that - arranged by the Irish pubs for cash. We also have an Irische Bayerische festival in the summer, which is quite amusing when one of the vans serving food is called British All Sorts (though run by a South African) and is bedecked in Union Flags

:hehe: The very worst Irish pub I ever went into was in Berlin. Barman spoke no English and they didn't even serve Guinness.

The pen Marriner (think it was him) gave City was shocking. Never looked a pen in a million years in real time and was even worse when played back. As soon as he gave it I thought 'big team losing important match and ref bottled it'.

Shocking.

There's one here owned and run by an Indian guy - right opposite the Hofbrauhaus so does rather a lot of tourist trade

We really want Liverpool to keep winning as we need them to take points off Spurs and Man Utd.

Obviously I absolutely don't want them to win the league.

It's hard to avoid the slight sense that the wheels are coming off both United and Spurs at the same time. In that sense, an international break is extremely unwelcome. :-(

If I had to choose between Liverpool winning the league and us finishing fourth I really can't say which I'd choose. :-(

Actually the closeness of the midfield was moderately interesting, in terms of the prospects for decent overtaking circuits like Bahrain. Pleased to see Bottas get the win and that grinning, shoe-quaffing idiot Riccardo DNF. Obviously the prospect of another Merc-owned season isn't too grand, but nice to see Lando drive well in a car that perhaps isn't quite as ****e as recent years. Shame he couldn't get past Joe the Nazi or he'd have scored points.

Plus it would upset the United fans - their Treble forever trumped by a Quadruple claimed by their local rivals

I think you have to be more selfless, p. Yes, it would be nice to finish top 4, but ultimately all that would mean is that we ponce about in the CL next year and then get knocked out after the group stages.

If Liverpool win the league, we'll be hearing about it for the next decade. There'll be arse-licking documentaries, live coverage of their open-top bus parade on all channels, scousers on television making disgusting high-pitched noises. It will be awful.

And we will have far more money to spend on nice new players.... who cares about the scousers? Couldn't give a **** about what they do if they happen to win it. Only 1 side I never want to win the PL and that is Spurs

Obviously Spurs are first on the list, but Liverpool run them a very close second. If I had to choose between the two winning the league, obviously I'd choose Liverpool, but it would be akin to a choice between cutting off my right or left hand.

Not sure how football could have gone better. Munichs get chucked out of the Cup, draw Barca in the CL and Chelsea lost giving us 4th place outright. And we happen to be only 1 point behind the filth for 3rd.

City still in 1st place and even if they win it there now seems to be the possibility of them getting hammered by UEFA and banned.

Win, win win as far as I can see it.

You seen our run in (rhetorical question, of course)?

If I wasn't worried about hexing it I'd say we were favourites for 3rd place.

So far I've been clean since Thursday night. :-\
