Then as we left we happened to see some of the parents at the school gate.

You're lucky actually. When we went to look at schools, having done fairly extensive research, you know; character, spirit, essence and a' that rot, the wife made her choice based on the fact that there were Louis Vuitton and Armani stores nearby and a glitzy hotel next door :-|
