I fear that is about to stop.

He is taking our team to Dubai. One can only suppose that he is determined to expunge any shred of joy from their souls, and complete the task of making them dessicated automata, happy amongst the brualist concrete and brutal human rights abuses of the Emirates.

This is extremely disappointing news.

Question: were Arabs always against alcohol, or is that a recent thing? And how boring. I guess that's two questions. :rubchin:

A nice bit of warm weather training because they aren’t in the FA Cup next week? Isn’t this just rewarding failure? A dangerous road to venture down. They should spend next weekend repainting the training ground

My only fundamental problem with him is why he has to pull those revolting facial contortions on the touchline. It's absolutely disgusting. I used to enjoy a takeaway during TV games, not any more.

One’s who want a catch a quick week in a warm climate, with all the trappings of 5 star luxury. Makes a nice change from being penned in a Caribbean hotel, for fear of being mugged when venturing out in your finest

Why any sporting person would want to exert themselves in Dubai heat is beyond me.

If they are in air conditioned buildings, then what is the point going?

That said, I'll be in Dubai in a months time playing golf. At the Trump golf course. Yes, the Trump course.
I will of course, have a man (probably of Asian descent) driving my buggy for me and carrying an umbrella to keep me in the shade.

I'll then have a couple of Peronis at £15 a pint :-(

I do hope that is suitbaly #capitalist for you, sc.

Umbrella? Do you not let the photons fall on your head, as you are not a pansy?

You are right, of course. Burning sun is worse than rain - unless you are John Keats and die of pneumonia, or something.

Why? He was easily the best of the Romantic poets - despite the snobbish sneering of his more socially elevated contemporaries like Byron (a doggerel-peddling prick) and Shelley (good in parts).

The 'Cockney Poet' was their superior by miles. And they knew it. Arseholes.

No. He dresses acceptably and - unlike AW - can knot a tie.

But there's just something unwholesome about his overall appearance. It could be all the hair dye.
