Just bung a hoodlum a ticket and a few quid and get him to run on the spurs pitch and push an opposition player and bingo, spurs get a points deduction.

Unsurprising. Presenting Henry Winter with an opportunity to puff himself up with pompous sanctimony is like presenting a dog with a lamppost.

Fairly easy to prove they aren't a fan of the club in question though. Not that I am agreeing with Henry Winter at all. Lad yesterday deserves a good kicking none the less

The bloke yesterday did nothing and is only being discussed because of the whopper in Birmingham.

I was rather impressed by Jack Grealish, actually. His post-match interview didn't major on his shock, distress and possible PTSD. He just beamed all over his face. "Best day of my life," he said. When pushed about the incident he just said, "football has rivalries but that was going too far" :hehe:

Same mongrel blood as you.

Think his old man is more Irish than Enya, or perhaps that is Declan Rice’s old man.

He was our brightest star at one point, a young Premiership player of acknowledged promise. Our U21 Player of the Year, and then he decided he was English and wanted to try make a go of it with Gareth Southgate.

People still hate him here but then we are brilliant at grudges. See Thierry Henry.

One advantage is this year it is on a Sunday so the parade can actually take place on the day here. And we aren't playing so no need to fight to get into the pub on a Sunday afternoon. And all the rugby is on a Saturday (I shall be wearing green for that!)

Yup. Sounds like Tel's taken a lot of the heat off Cromwell.

Your average Paddy on the road would not even know who Cromwell was. See below .... no mention of Oliver.

However, before the show aired, the producers of Why Does Everyone Hate the English? conducted a survey of 700 Irish people and asked them to list what they disliked the most about English people.
In no particular order, here are the top 20 answers that were provided:
• Football hooliganism
• Brexit
• They think they're the best at everything
• Arrogance
• Their obsession with winning the World Cup in 1966
• Drunken people singing very loudly in the streets
• Expecting everyone to speak English
• Their obsession about Royal family
• Binge drinking
• Rudeness
• Their tribal attitude to football
• Their general 'pomp' when it comes to tennis and cricket
• Going on about the war
• The fact they seem to have no intention to learn any other language
• Beer bellies
• How much they moan
• Wearing socks with sandals
• Why people feel the need for orange fake tan in winter
• They complain a lot
• Their obsession with soap operas

People were asked about the English as part of the research for some UK based television programme.

There most certainly is no "obsession".

Most Irish people I know really could not care less about the English, the hatred or whatever is totally over played. We like to visit your country for weekends of leisure.
