Well, I think the argument is that US men's football fvcking sucks, whereas the US women's team is the world's best. And I can see this: the chicks are hot amazons (albeit not as hot as, say, the Swedes. Not by a long shot), whereas the US men are oafish, incompetent jerks. But you can't argue that the US women's team doesn't generate revenue, because that's not supported by the evidence.

In middle age I was a decent and destructive club batsman. :shrug: In my youth I was a very good club/league batsman and a bang average County Colts player. None of these qualifies me to speak with authority on telly about the pressures or experience of playing test cricket. Same goes for some bird talking about playing in the World Cup.
