Good Lord c ... the tricks one's memory plays. I would almost have put money on it. I distinctly remember, with vivid clarity, firing my old chap up your mum's 'aris but I don't suppose I could have.

We used to golf and then lunch in Le Touquet, then fly back to Biggin Hill. Happy days.

Did you, a? What was your means of conveyance? This is remarkable. I have been flying out of Biggin Hill since 1987. Our paths most certainly must have crossed.

And every time you took off I'll wager you gave a respectful nod to those blessed few who so frequently would take off from there but never land so that we might be spared having to wear lederhosen.

I was privileged to get to know many veterans of the conflict, h. One in particular became a close friend.
