From what I’m reading on here, we’re ok with Auba, Laca, Torriera, Guen, Holding, and maybe Leno.
Can be of use: Bellerin, Kolasinac, Mkhitaryan, Iwobi, AMN, Monorail, Large Greek, Cech.
Prospects: ESR, Nelson, Mavropanos.

Too expensive: Ramsey & Ozil.

The rest can all fark off out the window ?

That’s a fair bit of squad building in prospect.

Defensively he's pretty hopeless.

Probably a lone voice but I love Mikkie. Our downturn in creativity coincided largely with his injury, he's much underrated, I think.

Also, Bellerin is a keeper imo mostly because I think Unai will get the best out of him.

Ozil is too expensive. Ramsey just isn't good enough and never has been.

When you say, 'long termer', are you forgetting that Aubameyang is about 30 and Lacazette not far off?

I'm sure Mkhitaryan can be of use for something, but I'm fúcked if I can take a guess at what it might be.

I think Kolasinac is pretty decent going forward. In fact, he seems to be the only person who delivers a consistent final ball into the box from wide. I wouldn't play him at left back, though.

Can leave in the summer:

Ozil - we may have to let him go on the cheap like Perez and Gabriel just to shift his wages. Maybe even for free.

Mustafi - Times Up...shame. Started well but went full retard on us.

Xhaka - same as Mustafi.

Cech - time for someone else imo

Bellend - he’s simply too weird to have around. (Max Aarons at Norwich looks interesting)

Elneny - nice guy but should be playing a lot more...for like a Bournemouth type team.

Lichsteiner - f ark in hell. He fooled me BUT he his legs were going to give up on him sometime...Shame it happened so soon. Nice guy. Smashing personality. What we needed but his legs have gone.

Missaterian - think it was cool seeing him on the touch line helping to coach the kids vs Carbag away but that’s about the only thing going for him. We could do with cutting the wages by -200k a week imo (roughly 1 McDonald’s McNugget every 45 seconds...that’s a lot of McNuggets imo).

Jenkinson - surely time for one of the other kids to step up imo

Koscielny - he was finished before his injury so I’m not sure what’s changed. Respect for coming back to help out but he should do the right thing and say he’s not good enough and let one of the kids have a go.

...

Hopefully that pays for 2 quality centre halves, a right back, a quality central midfielder and someone creative.

Quite like Tarkowski at Burnley...Jadon Sancho would be excellent imo

Raul seems to have a hard on for Cristian Pavon and I suppose Unai will want Banega in the team.

The kids...Sako, Reece, ESR, Willock can supplement the squad. Mentioned before but Unai seems to be in love with Sako

Guen is miles below Premiership level right now, both in terms of intelligence and strength. I'm not saying he won't get there, but at the moment he should be on loan or in the reserves. I have no idea what point Emery is proving by paying Ozil and Ramsey to not do very much, but he isn't even fit to lace either of their boots. He continually gets knocked off the ball and when he doesn't he usually passes it for a goal kick or to the opposition. Enthusiastic, but poor.

Well I, for one, do not hate the fellow, I just fail to see what he brings to the party. Or, indeed, what he's supposed to bring to the party.

Of course it's possible that I just have a blind sport. It's an affliction that can strike anyone. Why, do you know, I remember someone who could never appreciate the enormous contribution made by our red-haired Swedish genius! Imagine.

It was so much easier when it was all just the Soviet Bloc and you didn't have to care about silly, made-up places, wasn't it? They all p1ssed in the same pot and you could just ignore their petty differences. In general, I think I preferred it - although I'll grant you that the people living there probably didn't.

Bellerin would fetch £40m to £50m in the summer.

But that’s pre gender swap.

Not sure how much he’d be worth with a pair of titties and a vag.

Warning signs all there lads.

Which is an inaccurate recollection if I can say so.

To deny his contribution would be idiotic given the goals he scored, specifically goals in the run in to the title in 2002 when we lost Pires.

My bone of contention was simply that as a footballer I thought he was a little over-rated and that as a footballer he could count himself so very extremely lucky to have played on the same grass at the same time and in the same team as others such as Bergkamp, Henry, Vieira etc. who elevated him to a level beyond his actual technical football ability.

He also dyed his hair red, people loved that, some people. He earned a lot of public kudos on this fashion decision.

He is seen as a hero and club legend whereas a player such as Wiltord is often viewed with an almost disdain, despite him also scoring a lot of goals for the club including as iconic a goal as any the Swede did.

My perceived hatred of the man was always over stated.

Wiltord, you say. One rarely thinks of Wiltord, and when one does it is usually only to ponder greg mitchell's description of him being 'like lesbian porn; he goes round and round in circles but never gets anywhere'. Which was funny. :hehe:

He was. Languid, elegant and with a left foot that was not merely educated, but had a chair in Linguistics at a Russell Group University.

But ultimately he didn't give us the steel and cover that we needed and which Gilberto provided so admirably. A great shame.

An underappreciated player in my view, perhaps because he landed at the club when we had a stellar line-up the likes of which we have not seen since nor are probably likely to.

A supporting cast member to compliment the genuine world class talents of Cole, Campbell, Vieira, Gilberto, Pires, Henry and Bergkamp.

Footballing garnishes to the main food item, as such.

I would have included FL as a garnish, others thought of him as the rib eye steak.

He was the slice of bread and butter you use to mop up the juices; you know you oughtn't and that it's a common as muck, but it adds a pleasing heft to the meal.
