and his relationship with Unai.

In its day, this place would have been rammed full of stupid opinions. And not just Monty's either. :nono:

Rested for spurs and at the same time, gives him a reminder that he needs to perform. Good management.

Hmmm - I would like to agree with you however I find myself wondering if the moody GermTurk is the type to react well to this style of management. And if not, how in hell's name are we going to move him on on the salary SFC gave him.

No c*nt is going to pay him that. :-(

Rested after basically having had 10 days off having retired from International Football.

That would be it.

As in not wanting him injured and fired up that he didn't play at the weekend  No one in their right mind would seriously play the Armenian ahead of him in an important match

To be fair Micky has been playing some silly games lately...why on earth does he play full games vs Gibraltar????

Ffs

I know he’s like their Maradona but they’re never going to learn if they can’t beat Gibraltar without him.

Indeed. One had rather hoped we'd all moved on from all that sort of *******s now that the SFC is gone.

Didn't they lose their 1st match against them, with him?

Mkhytarian had a poor match and is the current figure of hate. Some of the criticism as is the way within the Arsenal family is extremely over the top.

As for Ozil I am not sure you specifically do not pick a player in order to avoid injury. A player carrying a knock or strain or whatever yes, but otherwise no. They are footballers, playing football is what they do.

I have no idea for why he was left out yesterday but keeping him fresh for Spurs would seem a little bizarre.

Bournemouth are a side that give you very little time on the ball. Perhaps Unai felt that Ozil's languid demeanor wouldn't work so well against The Cherries?

Maybe Unai is one of those stat reliant types, and sees that this season we concede far more , and score less* when Ozil is on the pitch

*might not be true

He's one of the world's best players, R. He didn't get that way by avoiding the cannon fodder and only playing against the good sides.

When Mesut has a mare against Spurs we can say that he wasn't fully match-fit, having just had a month off :homer:

Anyway, maybe he'll play against Vorskla? Even Eduardo scored against them.

True but he does seem to have ongoing back issues and perhaps UE was just taking precautions?

Eduardo even scored against us.
