Our next prime minsiter is going to be John McDonnell.

It's for the best. She'd have won and claimed a mandate as a result. It'll have to be defeated in the Commons. That's when she'll be at her weakest.

But wouldn't you think that that would increase the chances of an election and a Corbyn government? As unpalatable as you find the deal, surely the most likely scenario that lessens the chance of a Corbyn government with McDonnell running the economy and Abbott running the country is for May to deliver Brexit within the framework of this exit deal regardless of what that looks like?

I mean it's flippant to some degree but it really does feel like the options are Brexit according to May or a strong chance of a Corbyn government.
