To be clear, it was not my idea to go there. Also, frustratingly the only bottled beer option was Bud.

On the upside, I do now have a sombrero and novelty sunglasses that I did not have yesterday.

Ok Rich, make yourself useful - I’m on two types of antibiotics for a chest infection; clarithromycin and co-amoxiclav.

I’m also steaming into the free booze in the lounge and plan on a similar approach to the 7 hour flight to Toronto. Is this a bad thing?

Indeed. The combination of a large, noisy, sweaty man, two types of antibiotics, unlimited booze, a confined space and altitude - I can see no possible downsides.
