I'm very sad. Burt was an actually masculine male film star. None of this hairless gym body sh1t for Burt. A big old hairy chest, a glorious 'tache and a series of dubious hairpieces. Proper chap.

RIP Burt.

He was great as Jack Horner in Boogie Nights.

He was actually rather a good actor on the rare occasions when he was asked to be.

Have you watched Cannonball Run recently? It's actually still very funny in parts. Hugely self-indulgent and (to say the least) of its time in terms of racial and sexual politics, but genuinely funny.

Not recently but going to have a Burt-fest this weekend, so will dig it out.

Jack Elam as Nikolas Van Helsing, professor of proctology and other related tendencies and graduate of the University of Rangoon is a particular hoot. :hehe:

One is reminded, of course, of Sally Field.

So cute.

And if not for Burt, poor Jon Voight would have been forced to fellate that filthy old hillbilly,

"What'cha gonna do to him Leroy?"

"Well, he got a real purdy mouth ain't he"
