Is there a more uninspiring food item than Salmon fishcakes :-(

Are those really the best pictures they could get of him? One where he looks like he's being driven to court to face charges of gross indecency and the other where he's looking like a mong in one of our worst ever kits (and one of his worst haircuts).

To be fair, when it comes to photos of Paul Merson looking like a mong, they could have chosen a lot worse.

Also, they probably need to manage expectations for anyone unaware of quite how thick he is.

I went to a wedding there.

Look, Canterbury is a fascinating city and I recommend lunch at The Goods Shed. There is a rather nice pub just down the road as well. Just stay Canterbury for as long as you can and return to the 'hotel' to enjoy the ambience and decor, pitched, I should say, halfway between an old people's home and a civic leisure centre :-(

We're visiting as part of a reconnaissance mission to work out where we'd like to live out of Folkestone, Faversham or Ramsgate.

What say you?

What did you expect? It's in Kent. You should assume you will surrounded by used car salesman while you're down there.

Not sure what you were thinking of, Monty. If you want to get out of the city and head south you have Surrey, Hampshire and West Sussex to choose from, all quite beautiful and upscale.

And you chose Kent? :hehe:

Well I was never gonna be old money. so what's a poor Jew to do?

In my defence, availability is scarce and it was pretty much either there or here:

Fair points both. And, when it comes to the salmon fishcakes, they are the sort of food that people who'd go to something like that would consider fancy without being too challenging.

We're probably gonna move there as we need to be commutable to London, which restricts us to Kent or Essex if we're gonna get ourselves a nice big family house.

Unless you fancy chucking us £500k and then we can stay in Hampstead.

Shirley, a man of your means and a six figure income must be able to stay (nearly) in Hampstead?

You don't need to be rich, just find a nice cosy, romantic coaching inn.

You can hardly buy a one-bed flat at the bottom of the hill on that income, I'm afraid.

It's hard to answer objectively since they are all utter shítholes, but apparently on the rise. Folkestone has a decent seafood restaurant in Rocksalt, Ramsgate is at least showing signs of emerging from its dystopian past, Faversham I haven't been brave enough to drive through since 1984.

Can I just say to anyone of the jewish faith reading this, that I'm only joshing and enjoying epic bantz with monty, and that I will not tolerate anti-semitism in any form and have never shared a platform with Hamas, Hezbollah or a Labour voter.

Apologies for any distress my joke may have caused.

Hang on. Didn’t you join the Labour Party in order to vote for Corbyn? And now you’re making anti-Semitic remarks on the internet?

Guilty :judge:

I've joined the Conservatives, too. To vote for the candidate most likely to annoy the socialists currently masquerading as Tories. Rees-Mogg would be ideal, obvs. but I'll take Boris at a pinch.
