Berni is the sort of chap who would describe this car as 'a Ford'. :hehe:

( :cloud9: Just look at the beauty of it.)

£15k - for an abomination, though...

I bet you think Marilyn Monroe was 'a bit fat' and the Taj Mahal 'a bit white'.

It wasn't worth 15 quid the day it left the production line, and the passage of 28 years won't have improved it.

It has character. Back in the days before all this CO2 bull**** meaning all cars are designed by computers and look the same.

If it was the Mk3 'white lightening' one then I could understand it. I actually hated all forms of the Mk4 Escort.

I bet there's a thriving Allegro Owners Club :hehe:

I know a bloke who collects 1970s small Japanese cars. Honda Civics and Toyota Starlets, that sort of thing. He's got about 25 of the fúcking things, all stored under dust sheets in a barn, all absolutely mint.

He's also a bender. I don't know how relevant that is.

When I bought my first 2.8i Capri my mate got jealous and went and bought an XR3. In white :hehe:

A bloke at work has a Datsun 140 Y - it is absolutely mint. Lovely thing.
He's not bent, as far as I am aware.
