Sadly, because they're both in the sh*thole that is Hoddesdon, I've never visited either. :-(

I had some triffic chips from a place in Ewell the other week. One portion shared between two of us on the train home and totally scrummy. Also, they were magic chips as we didn't need any dinner. :eat:

Sometimes chips are magic. I have noticed this. Sometimes they are simply the best thing to eat in the whole world.

Only chips have this power.

Hull has a lot to answer for, but this stuff is damn fine.
a mixture of salt, paprika, tomato powder, MSG, onion and garlic :cloud9:

Used to go to this place in Victoria called Seafresh. Really good chips and outstanding batter on the Fish. Not sure if it is still there?

That rings a bell - not sure if there is. Also a great place behind Marylebone (Sea Shell?) which was/is brilliant

With the greatest of respect, you people know nothing from chips. These are chips.

There appear to be some chips in there somehere, under the onions, and peanut sauce, but calling onions chips is a little odd, my friend. You'll be saying that women have pen1ses next.

No. Those are French fries covered in ick. They are the effeminate cousin of chips.

You're a swivel-eyed mouthbreather, you realise that, do you?

Jorge told me.

Naturally. But that is still chip bukkake.

Meanwhile, actual MPs are still bickering about rice. :hehe:

I'm a big fan of Febo when in the 'Dam, as you know.

Those things, however, are an abomination.

FEBO kroketten are not a patch on my kroketten.

They do take two days to make, though :-(

Didn't you just buy a load of frozen ones?

In north-west Kent? No, not regularly. :-(

Supermarkets in Holland sell them frozen in boxes of 48. You just pop 'em in your deep fryer and 5 minutes later, heaven. :cloud9:

I did once, yes. They were good but the delivery charge was about 60 quid to keep them frozen.

Could you get bitterballen? For some reason, they seem more genteel than kroketten. Mind you, I once had a bitterballen in Rotterdam that was made with lamb and mint. It was a bit rank.

I'm sure you can. I tend to avoid them because I find them a bit, you know. Gay. I want krocketten, I don't want balls.

The place at Lisson Grove. I used to take a customer from church street there for lunch. Very good. Although that was many years a go .

I got some chips from a place on Southend sea front when I was over. They didn’t look that nice but they had a lovely taste. I think walking along the sea front while it was pissing down with rain and blowing a gale added to the taste.
