did I miss something? I mean it was big in the 80's but now?

Recently tossed my out...too lazy to get replacement canisters from Argos every month.

For sparkling water it makes a lot of sense, in ecological terms, for those who give a damn about such things. Better to ship canisters of CO2 than crates of bottled water.

Also, I'd rather walk down to Argos once every two or three months than lug litres of sparkly back from the shops every few days.

They actually deliver to a local supermarket. Though the local supermarket refuses to take the empty which you have to take back to Argos anyway, making it all a bit pointless.

Wife bought one. It's serving its purpose, especially tonic water.

Unfortunately, difficult to get cream soda now so we had to make our own.

They’re quite popular over here.
