I’ve bought wholemeal pitta by mistake. This is going to taste of disappointment and bad decisions.

Talking of drinking foods...
I found out that my local kebab shop will sell me a full tray of kebab meat for a £5 rather than charge £8 for a large doner. :cloud9:
I had some pitta breads made a simple salad, loads of sriracha - 2 massive kebabs!
Half of the second one went in the bin, mind you, but I'm calling that a right result.
Anyway, you'll now want a kebab later. No need for thanks

You nicked redg's breakfast!
You are one of his doggies and I claim my five pounds.
Really enjoyed it last night. Packed Lords, beautiful evening, massive piss-up basically. Back and forth - cruising to an easy win then four down for one run. Sterling MOTM. Bravo, after bowling well at the death nearly chucked away the win by skying it - then saved by Cartwright.
Best moment was Morkel dropping a catch.

Managed to catch our innings - fantastic and brainless in equal measure. Loved that Stirling actually adapted to the pitch and checked a lot of his shots without losing power as opposed to hitting through (and up) like so many of the batsmen. Bravo was particularly stupid. Morkel with the no balls, misfields and dropped catch was a star

Do you mean a tray of doner meat? Cooked doner meat?

Looks a good idea. Saves one having to gnaw through yards of thick, tough, leathery pitta bread.

Not sure it's been called that for nearly a quarter of a century. :old:

Ah, but what about when the bread has soaked up all the lambgrease goodness, hmm? :cloud9:

I think we've had this conversation before and you and SW were aghast at the state of the Bull and Gate.

You get a lovely pool of the stuff at the bottom of the container. You could drink it if you wish...

The meat will have got cold by the time that happens. Of course, one thing worse than pitta bread is wholemeal pitta bread. :hehe: How did you get on with that?

It was as depressing as I feared. Like eating hummus off a telephone directory.
Do you still get telephone directories, I wonder? Remember how the London one was about 5 massive volumes?

That would be dirty. Good, but dirty.

And then they have the nerve to trade on the live musical heritage of the place THEY destroyed.
I'm glad I got to play there one last time in the last week or two of of it's life.

 I remember having four in the 70s. Used to have fun as a kid going through them looking for silly names. Fairly sure they are extinct now. Especially post GDPR.

I did pop in last time I was back - was more upset by the prices than the change in decor. And the lack of Taytos

This used to work, but worth a try still.
Next time you are over - register your email address with them and put your date of birth as during your visit.
They send you a voucher for two free drinks for your birthday.
