She couldn't get it into reverse gear and was worried about rolling down hill into the car in front. Turns out she was a nanny, presumably picking the elder up from Channing School on Highgate Hill. It was her employer's car who had told her it was a bit tricky to get into reverse at times.
Anyway, I did the good deed, reversed up the hill and round the corner for her, and only just remembered to give her the keys back as I walked off, but forgot to tell the young lady, for the sake of her job, not to tell her employer what happened.
Lucky for her I wasn't Monty.
