My feelings, as an East German, are complicated. And thank you for bringing that up. On the one hand, I cherish the Motherland such as was part of my upbringing, the great Socialist breast at which I put in time. On the other hand, corruption such as is promoted by the East Block these days helps me with my film projects. Therefore it's a win-win, and I don't know whether to grin idiotically or to burst out into manful tears of joy.
