There will be another election and the 'populist' left-right coalition will win even more votes, and another attempt by TPTB to cancel their government will bring the people to the barricades.

Nah. 'The people', such as they can be considered a homogenous mass, will acquiesce, as they have over the betrayal of their vote to leave the EU, as they have over the forced Islamisation of their society and the dstruction of their culture. Ultimately, while their betters keep them anaesthetised with football, TV talent shows and beer, they'll accept anything.
