 Camper than a Boy Scouts' Jamboree. I thought it was wonderful, probably because I, like you, am old enough to remember the events which were pretty sensational at the time.

I've got it recorded. No spoilers, please!

That was in the days when politicians had proper scandals. None of this expense-fiddling sh1t. Gay murder plots, dead dogs and hookers who are shagging Russian spies and Cabinet Ministers. Proper order.

Indeed. When the phrase, "I'll be buggered if I'll vote liberal" produced giggles, not outrage.

Spoilers? The facts are a matter of public record, man. Thorpe was shagging this lad right up the poop shute. That's the important bit.

My Mrs basically accused me of being a pooftah - she said I only enjoyed it as I went to an all-boys school... She found the (pretty tame) sex sequences revolting

I have downloaded it to my iPad and shall be watching it on the train home. Although that raises the possibility that the person next to me sees me watching it and thinks I'm a bender (NTTAWWI) watching gay porn.

How bad is it 71g? Brokeback mountain explicit or worse? :-(

I know. Which it was by way of a joke. :-(

Scott was from Sidcup, I believe.

I've never seen BBM, WES but I imagine it's extremely mild in comparison.

Hold on. You watched Brokeback Mountain? Which is a film specifically about cornholing cowboys?

Bender.

I don't see why we have to have any of the sex, tbh. Can't we just take it as read that they're bummer and bummee without having to see it demonstrated? :-(

I watched one about Liberace where Michael Douglas bums Matt Damon (but never the other way around). That was a bit grim.

You were feverishly thrashing away at your ruined mushroomdick, weren't you?

I can understand watching films about lesbonians. Lesbonians are nice and touch each others boobies and that. But watching films about bummers?

You must be a bummer mate.

The modern audience demands that sort of thing I reckon, shock value. That's why rape/murder scenes in cop dramas are far more explicit than they used to be imho.

You forgot the NTTAWWI bit there, Charles.

An excellent movie on many levels. But yes, the scene where the one cowboy spits on his hand and rubs it all over his winkie so that he can successfully insert it in the rectum of the other cowboy was slightly, erm, off-putting.

Not at all. Michael Douglas made up as Liberace sweatily bumming Matt Damon would put even the most hardened sodomite off sex, I'd have thought. :-(

To be honest, I think it's about time the pooves just accepted that their sexual practices are sickening and wrong and just kept it all to themselves.

I've nothing against them as chaps of course, but...y'know...yucky.

I am not sure sitting on the 5:15 from Waterloo watching two lads break the arses of each other on your iPad is really socially acceptable.

So which way's the abortion going to go, sw? Has liberal Ireland bitten off more than it can chew with this one?

The Yes campaign will romp home with a sizeable advantage I would think.

Pro choice.

The Yes relates to the question which is to repeal the 8th Amendment to the Constitution or not.

Seriously hot chick made a bee line for me last week at the Luas stop with a Yes leaflet. Job done.

Yes, but you're in Dublin, which isn't the rest of Ireland. Also, the 'progressive' camp is always going to be more visible in these sorts of things.

Quite, that argument has been brought up a few times.

The sophisticated urbanites of Dublin against the muck savages beyond the M50, also the age of voters will be key as older people are less likely to vote Yes by some estimations.

The fact it is a referendum and the ability to vote is restricted somewhat another perhaps key issue.

Still, hot chicks want me to vote for them B.

Only because they want to kill ickle babies, though, sw. Which I personally would find a bit off-putting.

Turns out you've got some weird fvcking sh1t in your constitution, though. Gay marriage and now this? Any other entirely non-political ethical issues you've got lurking in there?

This is what happens when you let the Church write your constitution, I suppose.

No idea what else is lurking as I have never read the ****ing thing. Every ****er is currently an expert on it all the same.
