I'm told by a bloke who's definitely ITK* that the deal is done and that's why the back room people are all getting the boot. Mikel has his own team coming with him.

Are the board so short sighted that they've effectively agreed to pay off a shítload more backroom staff in 18 months?
We ALL know Mikel doesn't have the a) the experience or b) the gravitas for the role.

It does seem to me galringly obvious that an appointment has been made. Why clear the decks without giving the new guy the option to choose? What if they appoint Allegri and it turns out he's always wanted to work with Colin Lewin?
