I would venture the argument that very few players get to play for Germany as many times as he has and are ****, though I expect there are exceptions. Maybe they just wheel him out for shít games when the others don’t want to be risked.

There is something in the water at Colney/Shenley, he does appear to veer dramatically from excellent to toilet. Perhaps he just needs the correct partner beside him, one which has yet to be found in N5.
