Poor Eddie - who is probably the oldest player I've seen play live (as in oldest now, not when I saw him). Bournemouth Leicester in the very early eighties, first proper game I went to. There may have been older players on either side but none of them were Arsenal double winners so they don't count

Dear old George, with his rakish good looks and a twinkle in his eye. He once was an ad mans dream.
Age is such a terrible blow to those who excelled at sport amidst their prime.
I really don't like to think of him in ageist terms. I will banish thoughts of him having to rush to the toilet, after that first hit of coffee in the morning. :-(
