tomorrow is mine.
Rather than my usual complaining my only gripe is it's on a Saturday and perhaps it's a little bit early in the month.

*if they are still allowed to be called that.

We don't have one, f. Instead, I add what it would have cost to their christmas bonus. This is unianimously declared preferable.

I've got to go to a different company one tonight, though. I really don't want to go :-(

Dec 18th - four days after I fly back to England.

You do actually have a genuine gripe if they have it on a Saturday though - particularly on a Saturday when we play United

How many do you employ out of curiosity?

It is early for sure but then by having the event on a Saturday you are given a get out of jail free card for not attending if that is your preference.

Ours is two weeks today and being that I am in work all day I could then pretend I am busy, but I am not, so it will be free bar and "you're a ****" by 21:00 hours.

Only 12. But they're good ones so some count double.

I would not use the term "only" as I think that is a reasonable and decent number.

There is only 19 where I work and we are generally acknowledged as a powerhouse of Irish industry.

You could have a party all the same, tight ****.

I succombed to temptation last night la. It should have been a dry night but, stressed from the working day, I broke and allowed myself a glass of wine. Just the one, mind.

Today I am filled with regret and self-loathing.

Good preparation for Saturday - the drink I mean, not the regret and self-loathing. Well, actually...

It starts at 18:30 so I will watch the first half in a pub,
and depending on how it is going I will then sneak to the hotel bar area to watch the 2nd then it's time for christmas dinner whilst everyone is mingling.

Opening the third is never a good idea. Especially on a school night.

never a good idea, the work organised party.

an extension of the workplace, see, but with all that lovely, lovely alcohol.

...sex, fights, criminal damage, vomiting, sexism, racism, etc, etc all of which I have seen people ultimately sacked for whilst they have tried to defend their actions on "I was a little pissed".

bah, ****ing humbug. imo.

2 years ago we had arranged to meet at 3:30pm in the pub.We arrived at the restaurant at 8:00pm in somewhat high spirits.
After an additional few beers and 2 bottles of wine I was collected by the local bar owner in his car to be brought to DJ at a party he had forgotten to tell me I was working at.
Now THAT was a fúcking sight to behold.I'm told the barman asked me to stop smoking in the bar on 3 occasions

Mine is on the 9th December at a Holiday Inn...the bar is pretty lousy so meeting up with a few people at nice cocktail bar directly opposite.

Numpties always book it on the same day as one of my favourite races - the Tingle Creek at Sandown...would much rather be there.
