While still under investigation?

Why don’t the ECB pay for a couple of officers to monitor him while in Australia?

Can’t really see someone as high profile as him doing a runner...where’s he going to go? The bush? Maybe travel over to PNG and hide out in the jungle? White boy like him won’t last 1 day.

He is free to play legally, ECB have suspended him until the police investigation is over

If the filth don't charge him and have cost us the first test, I'm going to be really quite cross. :furious:

The police have to do their job. He belted someone in the street.

It isn't the police preventing him from playing, it's the ECB. Utter ****s.

This so-called assault... what did he hit the bloke with? I got the impression from the radio that it was a punch. There's nothing illegal about punching some scrote if you've got good cause, is there?

The claim is that he was trying to protect sodomites from persecution.

Yes, there is. when you consider that you can be charged with assault without actually touching somebody these days, a smack in the mouth is approaching attempted murder.

Either way, he hasn't even been charged with anything, let alone convicted.

Yes. If that's his story, he's probably wise to stick to it.

Doesnt seem to matter. You cant smack someone even if it is to stick up for bum bandits. He should have posted something in the Guardian comments section.

I don't think that's good reason. It's not like someone looking at your bird, is it?

Right. None of this nonsense about the rule of law and all that guff; nobody's interested anymore.

He’s arrived in New Zealand.

He’s got an exemption to play cricket there.

Been told he will be in Brisbane on Saturday for England in the Rugby League WC final.
