Nope, I'm over 120 miles from nearest friend......I may have taken this too far, in hindsight

I used to live round the corner from Ash - well round the corner in the London type way

Why would you not want to live near friends? Don't really understand it (he says having moved 700 miles away)

In this possibility it could mean living above them.
It will be endless popping round for coffee, come down for dinner.

they are already a bit of a holiday hijacker too. Where you going on holiday? can I come? erm I suppose so.

Someone was trying to get me to enter a competition the other day where you won a holiday for you and 7 friends.

I had to point out that I didn’t have seven friends - or anything like it.

I’m a miserable old friendless ****, me :-D

Ah right - a specific sort of friend. I can understand the issue there. Mind you - if you were to say have a little one, you have babysitters nice and close

Long ago when I lived in bedsit / studio flat land in Birmingham I often had friends as neighbours and we'd always be round each other's gaffs for a chat, cuppa, taking drugs and listening to music.

I wouldn't want that now, though. Peace 'n quiet, home is a castle and all that.

 That sort of thing’s great when you’re young. These days, I can’t think of anything worse.

At 27, I lived with my 2 best mates in a large flat in Weybridge. Brilliant year, would do it again in a heartbeat

Well played A.

Standards and all that.
