Syrian and Iraqi forces join to take Abu Kamal, the final ISIS-held town, on their mutual border. There will be remaining pockets of insurgents but they are basically Finnish.

The attempt to carve out a Salafist principality has failed, and Al-Qaeda is now back on top of the league of jihadis, so it is likely that they will be again taking credit for Islamist terrorism in Britain, Europe and elsewhere from now on.

Just as Trump promised. Wiped them off the face of the earth. Well done Donald....

Yes, no doubt Putin will move on to creating another way of underming western democracy now that the 'Islamist' tactic has failed. :-(

:hehe: He did wipe Raqqa off the face of the earth, tbf. But we only talk about civilian casualties if it's Aleppo.

There's rumblings all over the region and allowing women drivers is not even the most troubling part of it.

There are plenty. Iran, Russia, China.

Maybe start with Venezuela for an easy home win.

There's now a road for Iran to drive through friendly territory all the way to Beirut, should that be required. Israel will not like that. And the Clown Prince's attempts to weaken Iran have all failed. In fact, his moves in Iraq, Syria, Qatar and Yemen have all strengthened Iran's influence.

The Donald is in charge now though, rather than that other fellow. #DrainingTheSwamp
