Blimey. I saw Sean Hughes perform at the Union Chapel in Islington a couple of years ago. I actually remember thinking that he looked terrible then. He was also deeply, deeply unfunny.

Wikipedia currently says no on Sean Hughes. And you aren't really dead unless you're dead on Wikipedia.

Jason Manford has tweeted his condolences. Which makes a change from tweeting photos of himself wánking.

:hehe: I once saw Jason Manford in Cad & The Dandy on Savile Row. True story.

Actually, I've just seen that Sean Hughes' last tweet was 'In hospital', which would suggest things were not well.

He looked as though he suffered with the drink to me.

Ah, yes. Cirrhosis. Or 'Irish Cancer', as we call it.

I have decided to foreswear the demon drink on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Seeing the effects of a lifetime of alcohol abuse upon sw has caused me to reevaluate my life choices.

I'm looking for a (casual) lunch venue for a solo lunch this week before going to see the new Bladerunner.

Unearthed any gems recently?

No; I've hardly been up them Londons recently.

I assume you've done Kiln? Temper might be good alone, as well, although you'll come out smelling of smoke.

Yes. That chap was a few months younger than you.

Mind you, he'd have had to have been absolutely hammering it to die of cirrhosis at 51.
