Did you know that, after she was executed, her dog shot out from under her skirts where it had been the whole time. Also, when the executioner (who took a few blows to sever her head) went to pick her head up by the hair and do the 'Behold the head of a traitor' bit, he actually picked it up by the wig, so it rolled off under the dais and had to be retrieved by various people on their hands and knees.

All in all, not a particularly dignified end for the scotch/French lass.
