Opsina starts in goal...his best position

Chambers, Mertersacker and Holding will be the back 3

Debuchy will play as the RWB and Nacho as the LWB

Maitland-Niles starts in defensive midfield alongside Elneny

Wilshere will play as the creative attacking midfield role behind a front two of Walcott and Giroud.

---

I'm told Wenger wants Chambers and Maitland in the starting Premier League XI soon but they need games at the top level so the Europa League.

The whole Ox situation has saddened Arsene and he fears a repeat with Mustafi so Chambers is key while Maitland is seen as the hew Ray Parlour and the perfect complement for Xhaka in midfield...it's a partnership that could rule the PL for the next 10 years.

Wenger wants Ramsey to take over Ozil's role when he leaves in the summer.

He's also showing Ox what he missed out on...all of this could've been his but he's only a sub at Liverpool on vastly less money.

Holding's new deal is worth more than what Ox is on now.

Reece Nelson is on standby in case Wilshere breaks down again

--

That is all...my suspicion is and easy 4-1 win tonight.

Bit of a risk only playing ten players but might give Theo more room to play in. I like it

Is Poldi playing for them la? #effzeh

Alexis has said he's not 100% for tonight.

Caused issues with the other players because they know he needs games because of how fat he is at the moment but they think it's because he doesn't want to be Cup tied in January.

He's still pining for City...it's not to do with money or CL football or trophies. He wants to play in England but not with a team of muslims. As he put it to Wenger.

He will be left out. It's easier for the news to filter through tonight rather than before in press conferences which just cast a cloud over everything.

We could have done the old [insert Spurs joke here] were they not on their way to knockout-stage glory after their 'world class' win at Wemba Lea.

That group is far from over. they still have to travel to Dortmund who have a precious away goal.

Watched a fair bit of this game, very entertaining.

Piss poor call by the linesman (third official?) just before Spurs went 3-1 up.

I heard that B. Dortmund were 'swarming' over Spurs in the first half. They used to do that to us too.

Absolutely. Should you ever revisit these shores, you must either smell of one of these or be assumed to be a homosexualist or - worse - foreign.

Wouldn't go that far but the offside decision for Aubameyang's goal has to go down as one of the worst you will see this season

What a finish as well.

Five minutes later and the time and space they allowed Kane just saddened me.

Champions League my bollócks.

I heard Spurs were penned into their half in the first half due to German pressure

If the player fell flat on his face he would still of been onside

As the commentator remarked early in the second half, BVB 380 passes / Spurs 100 passes*.

Spurs 2 - 1 up all the same.

I was kind of watching two games at once so maybe didn't notice the dominance. Means **** all if your keeper is clueless about where his near post is

My fear was Spurs's superior defence would be the difference in this group (as in qualifying not beating Real Madrid, though as I read somewhere Real hardly took last year's group stages seriously, losing in Warsaw etc etc)
