"My wife wants some of them, but I'm worried because my boy is only 10. Are they ever vicious?"

Now I am trying hard to imagine a hen taking down a 10 year old human, and I'm struggling, but manage to assuage his fears.

"The other problem," he tells me, "is: do they drop eggs?"

Consider this: people like this are allowed the vote.

What does he mean 'drop eggs'? Does he just mean 'lay eggs'?

Well they're not going to drop them directly down his gullet, are they?

Furthermore, his general appearance was not that of a vegan; not unless vegans are allowed to eat lard pies these days.

But I don't have to keep, house, and feed a chicken just to get eggs! I don't like eggs that much. Mickey Ds can provide in a pinch.

They are charming creature with interesting personalities. The eggs are just a bonus, really.

And you call me weird and then admit to not liking eggs that much. Freak.

Do they make any noise? THis is my only potential issue. I would love to have some chickens.

Quite so. And sometimes when you pick them up for a cuddle they make a little cooing noise. :cloud9:
