It took me many years to go to Greggs.
As I had the impression it was a Northern thing.

It is a very Northern thing, every town has a Greggs

Emergency rations, p.

There's a sort of saccharine aftertaste now :-(

Off to the vet. That'll be a check up and vaccinations. £300 should cover it. :ffs:

I quite like Wenzel's sausage rolls. A step up from Greggs imo

Greggs has ruined other sausage rolls for me now. I'm always tempted by those 4 packs for £3, but have resisted because I know I'll just eat them all like a disgusting animal.

Wenzel's already? I'm guessing they're not pork, like.

Judging by their home page, I don't think they're kosher.

Have you had the Fortnum & Mason's wons? Absolutely spectacular. Packed full of meat*

I packed your mum full of meat.

Pretty much the same in the south now.
Everywhere I go had a Greggs and a Subway.

Why on earth would one go to Fortnum & Mason and buy sausage rolls?

Because Rich has to keep up his character and expects a certain reaction.

I bet the meat is of far too good a quality and the pastry too crisp. These are crucial aspects of Greggs' sausage rolls imo.

Not as a matter of course. But if you happen to be in there then you really should get one. I assure you that you'll never have one more delicious.

Greggs seem like a disappointment in comparison. Greggs ones are also too soft and, as a result, are essentially over before they started.

There you are, you see? The softness is very much part of the appeal of Greggs efforts for me.

When I lived in Kensington, I did used to pop to Knightsbridge get the best kebab ever and at £12 it needed to be!!

The softness makes me doubt the quality of the meat being used, though. The F&M wons are about 2 inches high by 3 inches wide. 75% of that is meat and this, for me, makes for a great meat to pastry ratio.

Problem lately they've made Kebabs trendy. I want a good old fashioned cheap one with long pieces of meat.
Now it's all s****y, have a wrap, here is some rice have a free rice pudding. **** all that off I want a proper one.

It's clear to me that we look for different things in a sausage roll. Given which, I shall bid you good day.

I said 'good day'!

Yes, there's a very good place in Enfield where, if you order the doner, they give you a shítload of rice and other stuff along with it.

I'm eating a doner. Why the fùck would I want rice as well?

 and the sauces are not right. Or the bread is separate so it's cold :-(
or a new type of bread which looks like an oven glove. it's too bready.

I'll have some chips but rice no thanks.

They are most definitely pork. We have one close to home and aways good to pick one up if hungover, on the way to the tube station
