It's also a little odd that a mid table side like Stoke can fark us over on such a regular basis at their ground. These are hardly one off defeats against this lot.
It's almost as if we're going there with limited expectations.

I just don't get what he was doing. A 3 man defence with only 1 centre half, who did not play centrally. 3 fit centre halfs not in the team.
Madness!

It was pretty stupid. That, the added idiocy of playing Bellerin on the left at wing-back and the pointless introduction of Walcott against a ten-man defence made it one of the most miserable performances by Wenger in quite some time. Since the 6-0 thrashing at Chelsea probably.

The beauty of the 3-4-3 was that he was finally playing people in their correct positions...no more square pegs in round holes and players were excelling..even Gabriel looked top notch vs City in the semi final playing in a back 3.

But all Arsene wants to do it his way which means we'll probably see Elneny back there vs Liverpool

Grade a clown...just keep it simple ffs

He now claims the squad is 'not manageable' due to it's size. Will the madness never end? We're being held hostage. What would Mickey Pearce say?

I remember a few years ago he was boasting about our "socialist" salary policy. This is where it has got us to.

This is the man who claimed that Sanchez, Ozil and Ox being in the final year of their contracts was the ideal situation only to suggest less than a week later that it was not ideal.

I would suggest he is not entirely convinced by this new-fangled 3-4-3 or whatever nonsense as having adopted it as a last throw of the dice last season he appears hell bent on using it in the least efficient manner possible.

The attempts to placate our contract rebel Chamberlain by shoehorning him into the 11 is reminiscent of him playing Walcott up top when he was acting the maggot, once pen put to paper sense was restored. Bellerin and Kolasinac makes so much sense for it to be too obvious to even discuss, but no.

Then there is the almost immediate dropping of the entire system when things are going well.

Wenger out after two matches. Deadly.

Ox wasn't shoehorned in. Bellerin was.

Chamberlain should not have been on the pitch, in my view he was selected as we are trying to appease him, to persuade him to sign a new deal as an integral part of the first team.

To me that is “shoehorning”.

His selection in the first place necessitated the Spanish moving to left back. Instead of one of our left backs, or naturally left sided defensive options.

Wenger said He often plays young Hector on the left and it's no big deal. Maybe He means "in training", or have I not been paying attention?

Wenger is full of shíte.

He always has been, we were just willing to overlook it most of the time before now.

He increasingly just looks like a cock now when he opens his mouth.

More annoyingly he's doing that thing where he refuses to sign someone until it's too late

First choice back 3 would be Holding-Kos-Mustafi but Gabriel has gone, Chambers seemingly not wanted even though he would thrive in a back 3, Mertersacker won't be able to play a stack of games if called upon (Europa League) and Monreal would be far better on the left hand side of the 3.

Please tell me he ain't contemplating Elneny or Maitland Niles back there.

I've said some crazy sh it back in the day...like Sagna should play on goal but f u c k me Elneny in the Tony Adams role looool

Elneny is good lad but he ain't the new Matthias Sammer...that's what Wenger wants a ball pkatong attack minded centre half.

Wouldn't mind cashing in on Alexis if we got ol Virgil in there.

it's so beyond a joke now...if you've got only one fit center half you trust in...don't play a back 5. Is that so ****ing hard to work out?

Was the Leicester game not a big clue?
