No need for conspiracy theory medical based nonsense.

Barcelona have allowed themselves to drift a little in recent years, taking into account where the ridiculous heights they were coming from of course and relying on MSN to get them out of a hole. PSG should really have killed them off in the CL last season and that would have set alarm bells going, as it was they won and the illusion and aura was allowed to continue.

Their midfield has aged as Iniesta now has only a year or two left as does Busquets, the players they have brought in like Turan and Rakitic are good but were always going to be a step down from their immediate predecessors. Losing Neymar now is a huge blow and Countinho is not near the same level.

They are still a brilliant team when they click but Real are just a different level – Ronaldo, Bale, Benzema, Asensio, Isco and they are still looking to add Mbappe. They could hand out pastings to most teams in Europe very easily.
