He encouraged me to blow it.

This was on stage at the London Palladium, so he didn't get the chance to pop his thumb up my bottom.

Ooh, I've got Prince Philip as well. Also Prince Andrew.

Bader is of no interest to me I'm afraid, p. An egomaniac who almost cost us the Battle of Britain. I was lucky enough to meet many second world war heroes of the air and enjoyed an actual real friendship with one for many years.

I know.

I could have added all the politicians but that would only have got me a load of abuse.

I have seen loads of very famous people out and about but I wouldn't dream of disturbing them. If I was that type of person I could have added Brad Pitt, Nicole Kidman, Neil Young.....I only approached Liam Brady because I knew my dad would like it. The geezer was having a quiet pint....or at least trying to.

He was a keen pilot, Phil The Greek, and used to attend Tiger Club annual dinners, where he was always up for getting involved in the traditional food fight. A good sport, he was.

My friend's mum was a receptionist at the dentist where Dennis Bergkamp took his kids. He was apparently one of the nicest people she has ever met and always took the kids himself.

Unfortunately the barmaid told me that she spilled some soup on him while waitressing at an Ajax dinner, and that he was wasn't very nice about it. Not shouty, but a bit sullen :-(

Mind you, she may have been a secret Feyenoord fan.

Oh, and my missus met the Dalai Lama - filmed an audience he was having with the British lady who runs a charity up that way who my missus was making a film for. And got presented with an award by Jon Snow.

Closest I've got is having spoken to two of the country's top experts on WW1 - Mombauer on the causes, Sheffield on the fighting. And I met a Congress state MP (MLA) in India. Not very good, is it?

Just offer an excuse or reason for non-attendance and they will accept it.

They invite multiples of the numbers required as they know people have **** to be getting on with.
