I used to go to an Italian restaurant that served triangles of fried bread (Mother's Pride) with anchovies to be mashed thereon. It was fúcking mint.

Worst pizza I've ever had in my life - Verona, Italy. True story. Filled with locals the restaurant was, heaving with 'em.

In fact, one osteria in Verona aside, I have never eaten well in Italy.

Well. Erm. I don't know what to say, really.

Not really the place you want to stay in TO, Pat, unless things have changed in the 22 years since I left.

Yorkville. Oh yes.

Verona - Il Desco
Sorrento - Il Buco
Amalfi - La Caravelle
Genoa - Tre Merli
Florence - Villa San Michele
Portofino - Hotel Splendido
Parma - Angiol d'Or
