I preferred Handel when he teamed up with hinge and bracket to form the Doors.

Weren't they created on some panel show?

I'm rediscovering Pink Floyd. When I was young, I found their music insufferably pompous and irritatingly world weary given that they were all young men when they wrote it. Now I'm older - although they're still insufferably pompous - I now find the world-weariness rather more sympathetic.

I've tried a few times to listen to them even for purposes to listen to Gimour's solos
Just can't get into it.

New albums by Weller and The Charlatans.

Old albums by the above plus The Wonder Stuff, Buffalo Tom, SFA and System 7.

Nice chilled Mixcloud effort by Tall Paul.

I don't know why Oasis get such a hard time.
Good band imo.

Liam's new single is weird.

Indeed 71, bar a few wobbles as you would expect from any band that has been producing music for 25 years, they really are a musical treasure.

Tried the new Fleet Foxes album but it wasn’t happening for me. See also the new Ride album.

I think they admitted it themselves.

The later albums and Noel's High Flying birds stuff is very similar.

Yeah - I don't think the Foxes will ever live up to their astonishing debut, but it's ok. Give the Ride album another listen or several - it's my current fave.

I would still listen to the first eponymous album quite regularly, a magnificent effort I have always thought. Splendid live also at the time.
