He said: “Labour has lost this election as badly as Gordon Brown did in 2010.”

And yet Labour supporters are cock-a-hoop and Corbyn is demanding to be PM.

Odd business, this democracy lark.

He lost from being in power.. Corbyn lost from being a dead man walking about 7 weeks ago.. it is quite remarkable how he has managed this. ALL the cards were in the Tory party favour, they called the election when they thought they couldn't possibly lose, if it wasn't for the Scots they would have lost

Yes, but the point is that he did lose. And by quite some distance if you put the two parties head-to-head. As I say, what should worry Labourites is the thought that this may really is as good as it gets for them from hereon in and that their chances of ever forming a government on their own in their current form range from slim to zero.

It's a bit like Arsenal being complete **** and winning the FA cup but not getting a champions league place?

Disagree... the Brexit 2yrs and how the country views that will decide whaty happens. Corbyn monopolised the youngh vote, if that continues then he could easily gain power(or Labour) in the future

Yes, basically Captain May won the toss and haughtily inserted and is still bowling on the third morning having shipped over 600. Certainly a moral defeat.

More akin to putting them in on a belter in a one-dayer and we've been saved by the Duckworth-Lewis method.

The Labour supporters remind me of the Spurs fans after drawing 2-2 and going ballistic, while Arsenal calmly collected the title a few minutes later at WHL. And Corbin is like Tony Adams who thought he was somehow qualified to join the Arsenal board :hehe:

The Corbyn manifesto cannot win an election if people are given long enough time to consider his policies and if the Tories aren't absolute crap.

Labour did better than expected and the Tores worse, but Labour still lost and is far from power. I don;t beleive it's "one last push". I believe this is the high tide of Corbynism in the country and in the long run his relative success or failure only extends the period under which the party is unelectable.
