Ummm, haven't you said you want him out? So presumably you think it would be the desirable outcome for Spurs and Liverpool (and indeed every other club) for him to stay :shrug:

I want him out because i think we won't ever win the league with him and i'm bored of the annual feb/march/april falling apart. If my goal was to have better seasons than Spurs and Liverpool than of course there'd be no reason to get rid of him, because that's what he does most of the time.

But ultimately you want him out because you think there's more chance of us improving with another manager, and less chance with him. So by wanting him to stay, fans of Liverpool and Spurs are merely reflecting your own thoughts :shrug:

There is a chance of us improving with another manager... why people want him to leave is that we haven't improved for the last 10 years or so and there are no obvious signs that we will if he stays. Now is the perfect time for him to leave (he won't) and I'm not sure why anyone thinks we will be better next season with him in charge :shrug:

Perhaps they think Klopp can and will take them forward, arguably he has done already so with more time and investment, and CL football to allow a better perceived class of investment it is generally positive.

Coupled then with a belief that Wenger will not bring us forward which is the cornerstone of the Wenger Out belief and also a commonly enough held belief in mainstream media.

If you look at Liverpool's squad and ours and take into account the disparity in both investment and salaries, it's hard not to come to the conclusion that Klopp has significantly outperformed Wenger this year.

I assume that the Scousers believe that Klopp will now improve the squad with the money the media seem to think he has to spend and that Wenger will do what he's done for the past 10 years or so; buy very few players while continuing to place his faith in those players that so regularly let him down.

On that basis, I can see their point.

It's relevant because our wage bill is about to significantly increase after having been consistently higher than Liverpool's for the past four years. I'd be surprised if any of Liverpool's players end up getting a 100k+ per week increase.

We'll have to agree to disagree about their squad, I see an awful lot of dross that Klopp has done very well to get into the CL. Lovren and Matip at CB? Milner and that Spanish chap at fullback? Jaysus lord.

He inherited a mess BGS and to get them into the CL has been an excellent achievement.

I would suggest looking at the period since he last signed a contract (before today). When he signed that contract, the financial straight jacket had been released somewhat and he had just ended the trophy drought. No one would have begrudged him signing last time round as the situation appeared to be made for him to take the club forward.

Yes, I'm guessing that Ozil and Sanchez stay. Ozil because I don't think there is much of a market for him and Sanchez because I think we'll pay what he wants. But who knows really.

As for our wage bill change, I would expect it to be higher despite departures, decreases due to no CL etc. I'm sure you've noticed that football hasn't been short of inflationary pressure the past 10-20 years.

I read somewhere that this new left back chap we've signed (also read that he was voted into the Bundesliga team of the year) is getting £140k a week, although him being a free transfer is probably a big factor in that.
