Saxon for Woolwich. 'double u'. Geddit!?
I am enjoying this map of what is now Greater London, in Saxon times. All the old place names, the Roman roads (Old Kent Road, Edgware Road, A10, A24), Saxon Roads (eg: Harrow and Uxbridge roads, Drury Lane) and lost rivers.
