Firstly, it is not a word of US or native American origin. It is an old English word (used on the Isle of Wight) from the 18th century that means someone who sits on the fence, a ditherer or a vassilator.

Secondly, you have to love JC's leftie mates complaining about things getting personal. How many time have you seen BoJo attacked by these moral Guardians for the way he looks or the way he speaks or his background or his personality.

One rule for them and one for everyone else, was it ever thus!!
