past history not so good here...if he wants to go and the offer is sizeable then he's gone.

just hope we get some proper money and the dogsh*t £5m+Gallas we got for Ashley Cole.

personally think the £50m fee got out there so as to entice the Chinese...they are completely loopy and would probably drop £15m-£20m more just to get him.

I wouldn't mind just letting his contract run out and take a gamble that we actually do something great and he decides to resign.

We shouldn't sell him to Chelsea or to any premiership team.

£50m is not an unrealistic figure at all given recent transfer deals. We should sell him abroad this summer or let the contract run out.

So you are saying that we should essentially refuse £50million and let him go to Chelsea this time next year for free? He is free to sign a contract with a club of his choosing if in the last six months of his deal. So he could sign the deal in Jan, see out next season with us and then move for free.

It boils down to - would you take a £50million to have him for one more season?

No he couldn't.. he could sign a contract with aforeign club next Jan... I don't THINK he can sign a pre contract with an English club

You do realise that the quotes attributed to him have been altered to make it seem he is talking about london

As you were, then. Even so, he's not so good that you'd pay £50m to have him for one season. If he wants to go to Chelsea and nowhere else then might as well take the money.

also got to think about how much punishment he keep putting on his body.

his style isn't conducive to a long career...it's all here and now / live for the moment gayness.

he might be won of them players when he hits 30 it' all downhill.

Yes. The last time we let a player go to a rival club he won the league for them when we might have won it. We sell him to a foreign club but if he doesn't want to go we hold on to him because the original post here actually said we'd get £30 million. If he leaves on a free so be it, he'll be 30 by then and may well have gone downhill.

If he is desperate to go he will go abroad.

I take it that you don't own shares in Arsenal Holdings, MO?

No. Although I did think of getting some a few years ago. Too late now.

If your point is about the shareholders losing notional money, nothing compared to what they will lose once we plunge Titanic-like outside the CL places. Which we will this season and may not recover unless we have top players in our team. Like Alexis.

That's if he wants to be there. If his effort drops 10% then he's not the same player.

I want him to stay, though. Just wish he'd stop getting cross with everyone that's not as good as him. I think he just wants to play with better footballers.

Alexis is going to go, no question. Hopefully when we've gotten rid of Wenger we can learn to live, and love, again. But Alexis is a little street urchin and thus cannot be expected to embrace such concepts as altruism, loyalty, heterosexuality. :-D
