What you guys don't seem to realise is that the pass on "mentally ill" was sold when the courts began to routinely accept pleas for "diminished responsibility" for murder and other activities from people with no history of mental illness. Basically our liberal society does not really accept that anyone (apart maybe from Trump) has a criminal mentality therefore if someone kills someone it MUST prove he is mentally it. QED.

All that has happened is that they have now extended this to terrorists of one faith. No one suggests that the KKK, for example, are all mentally ill. They are obviously evil.

Probably for the best if it's not a terrorist incident. 'Je suis Grasse' would have sounded a bit odd.

It's a shame it isn't Nicola Sturgeon was about to pull the trigger on asking for a referendum in response to this possible attack.
